Founded in 2006, Mirevontis began as a single blackjack dealing studio in Auckland and has grown into a three-campus casino academy spanning five divisions. Every programme is built around one idea: casino-floor competency should be demonstrated, not just examined. Our kaiako come from the pits, cages and VIP salons they now teach on, and our graduates carry that same standard of manaakitanga onto every casino floor they join.

01Application & interview
A short application, right-to-work check, and a 20-minute interview with an admissions kaiako to confirm casino division fit and intake readiness, including DIA suitability screening.
02Foundation modules
Theory blocks in casino procedure, DIA gaming regulation, AML/CFT and Host Responsibility conduct, delivered in Auckland, Wellington or Queenstown depending on division.
03Practical immersion
Full-time studio time on blackjack, roulette and baccarat tables, casino floors and VIP salons, with weekly competency sign-offs logged against the Practice Framework.
04Assessment week
External-style casino-floor practical and written assessment, moderated by an independent assessor from our NZQA-aligned quality panel.
05Certification & placement
Certificate issued, portfolio finalised, and candidates enter the placement desk pipeline for interviews with partner casino operators.
